1. Who we are

The Site and venue are operated by Focus DC, LLC d/b/a Focus Social Club (“Focus DC”), located at 1348 H St NE, Washington, DC 20002. Contact: info@focusindc.com or 202.403.7994.

References to “Focus,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean the operator above. “You” means the person using the Site or buying for themselves and any guests they include on an order.

2. Eligibility and age

Focus Social Club is a 21+ venue. You must be at least 21 years old to create an account, purchase tickets or reservations, or enter the venue for events and services offered through the Site, unless an event listing expressly states otherwise.

At checkout you may be asked to confirm that you and all guests on your order meet the age requirement. That confirmation is a contractual acknowledgment; it does not replace ID checks at the door.

A valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID is required for entry and for anyone purchasing or consuming alcohol, as required by District of Columbia law. We may refuse entry or service without refund if ID requirements are not met, if ID appears invalid, or if a guest is underage.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You may sign up with email/password or supported sign-in providers (such as Google). You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account.

Provide accurate contact information. We may suspend or restrict accounts for fraud, abuse, chargeback abuse, harassment, or violations of these Terms or venue policies.

4. What you can buy or book

Depending on what we publish, the Site may offer: event tickets and table/package reservations; dinner and lounge reservations; brunch and day-party offerings; birthday and private-event tickets or packages; VIP guest requests and packages; memberships; marketplace merchandise; and related add-ons or forms.

Event-specific or product-specific policies shown at checkout (including guest agreements you must accept) apply in addition to these Terms. If there is a conflict about a particular purchase, the checkout disclosures and accepted guest agreements control for that purchase, except where District or federal law requires otherwise.

5. Tickets, reservations, and licenses

A ticket or paid reservation is a revocable license to attend a specific event or seating window under our house rules. It does not guarantee a particular experience, performer set length, menu item availability, or seating configuration beyond what we expressly sell.

Prices shown before you pay should reflect the total you will be charged for mandatory items, plus any taxes and optional add-ons disclosed before payment. Mandatory fees must not be hidden until the last step.

We may limit quantity per person, cancel fraudulent orders, and refuse or revoke a license for safety, capacity, or policy reasons as described in these Terms.

6. Transfer and resale

Tickets and prepaid reservations sold through the Site are non-transferable and may not be resold, reassigned, or listed on secondary markets. Unauthorized transfer or resale may result in cancellation of the license without refund and denial of entry.

Commercial resale without our written consent is prohibited.

7. Refunds, cancellations, and changes

All ticket and prepaid reservation sales are final. We do not offer refunds or transfers for buyer cancellation, no-shows, late arrivals, guest-count changes, change of plans, or denied entry for failed ID or policy reasons.

If we cancel an event entirely, we will communicate the remedy we provide for that event (which may include credit or another option we specify). Except where applicable law requires a different result, tickets remain non-refundable and non-transferable.

An excessive-cleaning fee (for example, $350) may apply for inappropriate conduct that causes material cleanup, and may be shared among a table when the responsible guest cannot be identified.

8. Entry, security, and venue rules

Entry is subject to capacity, dress expectations we publish, bag checks, and security screening. Weapons are prohibited. We may refuse entry or remove guests who are intoxicated, disruptive, abusive to staff or guests, or who violate law or house rules.

If admission is refused or a guest is removed for policy or safety reasons (including failed ID checks), tickets and prepaid amounts are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Follow staff instructions. You assume ordinary risks of nightlife and dining environments, including crowds, loud sound, spilled drinks, and dance-floor conditions.

9. Code of conduct

We expect respectful behavior toward guests and staff. Harassment, discrimination, violence, property damage, illegal drug activity, and other unlawful or unsafe conduct are prohibited and may result in removal, bans, and referral to law enforcement.

10. Assumption of risk; limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by District of Columbia and federal law, you assume the risks of attending events and dining at the venue, including personal injury, illness, property loss or damage, and risks associated with alcohol service to others.

Focus is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Except for liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of any purchase or visit is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, even if advised of the possibility, to the extent such limitation is allowed by law.

11. Photography and recording

We and our partners may photograph or record the venue for promotional and operational purposes. By attending, you consent to reasonable capture of your likeness in public areas of the venue, unless you arrange otherwise with management in advance where feasible.

Do not record staff or guests in a harassing way. We may restrict professional cameras and recording equipment.

12. Payments

Card and other electronic payments are processed by Stripe and related payment partners. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. You authorize charges for the amounts disclosed at checkout, including applicable taxes and selected add-ons.

Chargebacks filed without a good-faith basis may result in account restriction. Contact us first to resolve billing issues when possible.

13. Forms, VIP requests, and user submissions

RSVP forms, VIP guest requests, job applications, contact inquiries, and similar submissions must be truthful. You grant us a non-exclusive license to use submitted information to evaluate and fulfill your request and operate our business.

VIP or guest-list approval is discretionary and does not guarantee entry if ID, capacity, or conduct rules are not met.

14. Intellectual property

Site content, branding, logos, menus, and designs are owned by Focus or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or commercially exploit Site content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of pages you lawfully access.

15. Third-party services

The Site may link to or integrate third-party services (payment, email delivery, hosting, sign-in, analytics, image hosting). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party sites we do not control.

16. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Focus and its owners, staff, and agents from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, your guests’ conduct, or your violation of law, to the extent permitted by law.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in the District of Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site, except where prohibited by law.

19. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on the Site with an updated effective date. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms for future purchases and use. Material checkout policies for a specific order are those disclosed when you completed that order.
